As a psychology student, even I am very curious to why we don’t do what we plan to. I think a lot of it comes from procastination and feeling less guilt in the moment by saying we will do xyz and then ignore it. As you said, it is truly patterns. This was a cool read. I love your writing and did you make this cover? I’m obsessed.

Hi Bhanavi,

Thank you so much for connecting! I really appreciate it! I actually did not make the cover via pintrest. Thank you so much for giving me your perspective as a psychology student. I agree with you as well I do think psychologically much of it does stem in procrastination perhaps even laziness. It really is patterns!

As a current college student, I have met so many flakey people who make plans but don't fully commit to them. What's the deal?

I get it! I don’t know! Perhaps we explore this in another article. Also just subbed! Looking forward to supporting u!

Agreed! Another thing I've learned in my 20's is that to have a village, you need to be a villager! Show up, even when you're tired or busy or whatever. Follow through. It's important.

Nice writing, thanks for sharing.

Bisous,

Yes I completely agree! I feel like one more thing we have started to loose more especially in our generation is that no one really knows how to maintain relationships. I have noticed that as a society we have started to become incredibly flaky. It is frankly quite disturbing if you ask me. Thank you so much Chloe for supporting my work! Much love always! xx ayro

I totally agree. I tend to take words and statements as promises or commitments to myself and to others. It's a little surprising (and interesting) to realize that for some people, they are simply words in that moment.

Thank you so much Yuka for engaging with my work! I really appreciate your comment. I agree, its a weird phenomenon of sorts if you will. I like many always like to make statements as promises to myself, and others. It's weird to me as well that at one moment their idea or opinion will instantly flip. Odd.

The most important promises you keep are the promises you make to yourself. Keep your word and when people show you who they are, believe them!
